The South of Tanzania is the hidden gem of this
magnificent country. A visit to the Selous Game
Reserve is almost a "must" if you want to
travel the Southern Circuit. Udzungwa has some
fantastic hiking trails through the mountain ranges,
and Ruaha is regarded as one of the most beautiful
parks in the country. We would recommend all the parks
on the Southern Circuit.
When choosing your accommodation for a Southern
Circuit Safari, you should begin in Dar Es Salaam,
work your way up Ruaha and back (perhaps via Mikumi)
to Dar. Allow for long travel time. It takes about 7
hours to drive to Selous from Dar!
