There are just eight cottages, each open-fronted with a private terrace providing stunning views across the Rufiji River, and all with large
en suite bathrooms with great showers, and big comfortable beds.
You may find the rooms to be under styled compared to the lavishly decorated tented rooms found in the other camps. Constructed from local stone and wood with makuti thatch roofs, the rooms have quite a rugged feel - still stylish and comfortable, but this is certainly not a boutique lodge - the emphasis remains on getting you in front of the wild game you came all this way to see.
You will be escorted to and from the main reception and dining your room by one of the armed camp askaris – this is a necessary and exciting precaution against the
random visits by local hippo and elephant that may roam into camp.
