Mountain Village Lodge is located 20 minutes drive
outside of Arusha. The hotel has recently been
purchased by Serena, which is one of the largest hotel
groups in East Africa. Serena have not yet undertaken
any renovations, so the accommodation is not up to the
normal standard of the Serena Group but the staff
however, are of the Serena standard, always courteous
and very efficient.
The hotel has one of the best garden views in
Tanzania, overlooking Lake Duluthi. The gardens are
beautiful and provide a very tranquil place to just
sit and relax, with chairs and tables randomly
scattered all over. The rooms share the same view of
the lake and are very colonial. They have a good
restaurant which serves a good buffet.
We recommend this hotel for an overnight stay
either before or after your safari.
