This is by far the best place to stay in the Arusha
area. The hotel is situated about 20 minutes drive
south of Arusha town. Located in 40 acres coffee
plantation, you definitely get to experience Africa
with Western levels of service. The lodge has a
charming atmosphere, which glows through the manager,
Gijs. He is a fantastic host, and really makes you
feel welcome and at home.
A further advantage is their magnificent view of
Mount Meru (the 3rd highest mountain in Africa). From
almost every room you have a perfect view of the
mountain, and makes for a fantastic way to wake up in
the mornings. The gardens are well kept and they
really give you the feel of being in your own home in
the bush.
The staff are exceptionally friendly and the food
and service brilliant. We highly recommend the lodge
for starting out your safari and perhaps ending before
you catch that long flight back home.
