Both the main restaurant and bar area are situated in elevated positions on the top of the hill with great views of the river. The food here is best described as wholesome and hearty, being supplied mainly from the Fox family's highland farm.
The lodge has a good fleet of 4WD vehicles and offers guided morning and afternoon game drives or walks suited to the guest’s particular requirements. All excursions into the park are led by owner-manager Peter Fox or by one of his well experienced guides.

To get the feel for the wild, don’t miss out on an early morning walking safari. Wake up to a hot cup of coffee and head off into the bush. Accompanied by a guide and an armed ranger you will hear the morning come alive with the sound of the birds as you watch the sun rise, you will smell the freshness of the bush and feel the apprehension as you follow the fresh spoor of animals roaming the area only hours before you.
Round this off with a hearty breakfast cooked over a log fire, served at a superbly well laid table under a shady tree to complete what we call a truly African Experience that will never leave you.
